About Oliver Prenn

The development of the Investor’s Coach

Oliver Prenn, Founder of the Investor's Coach

Trading with stocks and shares carries a certain level of risk, I have always wanted to create a system that not only results in profit but one that also has effective exit strategies to retain made profit and limit loss.

During my many years of first hand experience with the stock market I came to realise that fundamental analysis is not as important as most make it out to be. The most practical form of analysis is technical stock analysis; however it does come with its own set of unique challenges. For technical stock analysis to prove successful many factors of analysis must be mastered, including: Fibonacci numbers, trading channels, technical indicators, point&figure charts, cycle analysis and last but not least portfolio and money management. In the end, I found out that none of the currently available system would satisfy my needs.

Following the hype of 2000, it was definitely time to find a superior solution, thus there was the need to create and develop my own trading system. From the initial prototype, it has taken 5 years of development and exhaustive testing, to achieve the current trading system. In this project I have brought together some interdisciplinary fields: finance mathematics, technical analysis of stocks, genetic algorithm and of course computer science. The system is called the “Investor’s Coach”, because I have always perceived it as the perfect coach for those who do not want to spend all their time in monitoring and analyzing the markets, but still believe that the stock market provides an excellent opportunity for outstanding return on investments.

Since not all people can afford to go through this intensive process, I wanted to provide a wider audience the ability to participate in the stock market. This is why the Investor’s Coach has gone online, it will continuously develop, evolve and expand, and will have newly added markets in the near future.

Yours,
Oliver Prenn
